Dolpa, also known as Dolpo, is a remote and mystical region located in the northwest of Nepal. Enclosed by towering Himalayan peaks, it offers untouched wilderness, rich Tibetan culture, and a spiritual atmosphere. With towering peaks like Kanjiroaba and part of the Tibetan Plateau, Dolpa remains one of the least-explored and isolated regions in Nepal. Dolpo region has preserved its ancient Tibetan culture and unique landscapes till this day. The area is a mosaic of high-altitude deserts, deep valleys, pristine lakes, and sacred monasteries.

Home to Shey Phoksundo National Park, Nepal’s largest national park, Dolpa is famous for the mesmerizing Phoksundo Lake, the deepest in Nepal, whose turquoise waters are a central feature of several treks. Its high passes, like the Jyanta La and Kang La, offer challenging trekking experiences and access to some of the most awe-inspiring routes in the Himalayas.
