Detailed Itinerary of Nagi Village, Mohare Danda Trek
Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Galeshwor, Trek to Bans Kharka (1525 m)
We travel to Galeshwor, a three-hour drive northwest of Pokhara, on the first day of your trip. The drive along the KaliGandaki river’s bank is particularly scenic. After a brief breakfast at Galeshwar, our trek gets underway. The trail is paved with stones and travels through a forest with cool breeze. After a four hours of trek from Galeshwor, we reach Bans Kharka. The beautiful village of Bans Kharka is a Magar settlement. We’ll stay the night in Bans Kharka in a homestay.
Day 2: Trek from Bans Kharka to Nagi Village (2300m)
Today, we’ll get to Nagi village crossing the verdant forest, breathtaking scenery, and little Magar communities. The Dhaulagiri peak and Annapurna South will engage in a game of hide & seek on the picturesque trail to the village.
Day 3: Trek from Nagi Village to Mohare Danda (3313m)
The ascent to Mohare Danda is about 1000 meters, making it a very challenging climb. MOhare Danda (hilltop) is one of the best viewpoints of the Annapurna regions offering beautiful views of Annapurna South (7219), Dhaulagiri (8167), Machhapuchhre (6997m), Tukuche (6920m), and Nilgiri (7061m). Mohare Danda is situated at a height of 3320m. This hill’s vantage position offers breathtaking views of both the sunrise and the sunset.
Day 4: Trek from Mohare Danda to Tikot (2210m)
The day starts with an amazing sunrise view from Mohare Danda. After eating breakfast, we will descend quickly through a colorful rhododendron forest that is descending. We travel downhill for around six hours to reach the settlement of Tikot. One of Nepal’s most picturesque Magar villages is Tikot. We’ll stay the night at this beautiful village and explore their livelihood and traditions.
Day 5: Trek from Tikot to Tiplyang, Drive back to Pokhara
The last day of the trip is a 3 hours steep downhill hike and down the Kaligandaki River to Tiplyang village. Upon arrival at Tiplyang, we take a jeep or a local bus to Beni and then transport back to Pokhara.
